Save Mallory Park Petition

Save Mallory Park Petition
Many of you may already be aware that Mallory Park circuit is under threat of closure due to complaints about noise from the circuit from house owners who have purchased their properties after 1955 when the circuit first opened for motorbike racing. Leicestershire council are proposing either complete closure or severely limiting the number of days that the circuit is allowed to operate during any year. If you agree that racing circuits should be kept open for us all to enjoy our motorsport, then please sign the petition HERE. We don’t want to see the same thing happen to any other circuits; Mallory is a cracking circuit which we have visited on several occasions in the past ten years. Currently (April 3rd) there are some 29,000 signatures but these are way short of the required number of signatures.

We have just heard that Silverstone track day on Monday 25th March has been cancelled. At the moment we don’t know when it will be re-scheduled but  we will e-mail out next week when we have more information.
Looking at the weather round here we think it is the right decision but disappointing all the same.
The picture here was taken this morning (Sunday 24th March 2013) at Silverstone circuit, so you can all see the conditions there.

MGs on Track AGM - the results

28th March 2012
Please welcome Dave Pearce as our new MGoT Chairman. Dave will be well known to our regular tracksters and we look forward to supporting him in taking the club forward. We also welcome new committee members Doug Bond, Paul Bryson, John Dignan and Nigel Silman.
Regretably Stu Dickens has resigned from the committee due to the pressure of working overseas. The rest of the committee remains in place, strengthening our numbers by three and helping to share the work of running our track days. Check out your new committee on the contact us page.
